Construction has begun for the new wombat crossing today. We anticipate it will be completed mid-October 2024. During this construction period there will be various traffic management arrangements. Expect delays while we construct the wombat crossing. Thank you for your patience.

Traffic Management arrangements:

• Week starting 23 September – local traffic management operating under traffic lights
• Week starting 30 September – mixture of traffic lights and total road closures of Partridge Street between Maturin Road and Pier Street, with detours along Pier Street / Moseley Street / High Street
• Week starting 07 October – mixture of traffic lights and total road closures of Partridge Street between Maturin Road and Pier Street, with detours along Pier Street / Moseley Street / High Street
• Week starting 14 October(if required) – local traffic management operating under traffic lights
• Speed restrictions will be in place outside of working hours
