Project Overview

The City of Holdfast Bay will be replacing the existing crossing with a raised wombat crossing with amber flashing lights.

The new crossing will be relocated approximately 20 metres south of the current crossing due to the location of the Norfolk Island Pine trees and critical underground services.

Construction is expected to start in late September 2024 and will continue for approximately four weeks.

Some work will be undertaken during the school term, and local traffic management restrictions will be in place to maintain traffic flow.

During the school holidays, Partridge Street will be closed at times to undertake road construction activities, with detours through to High Street, Moseley Street, and Pier Street.

Further information regarding the construction and traffic management will be provided before construction begins, and street signage will be in place two weeks before works starts to advise motorists of the upcoming works.
