Construction update:

The construction of Chapel Plaza and Hindmarsh Lane, which began on 12 April, is on-track to be completed before the peak summer trading period begins.

Pedestrian access through Chapel Plaza and Hindmarsh Lane will change throughout the construction period to accommodate building requirements. Currently pedestrian access from Milton Street to Jetty Rd has been retained and east/west access in Hindmarsh Lane has been reinstated. As access changes, we will continue to work with the directly affected businesses to ensure they can operate as normally as possible.

Some of the support we have offered directly affected businesses include:

• Gloria Jeans outdoor dining area has been temporarily relocated into parklets on Jetty Road for the construction period
• Footpath decals promoting business as usual for Sport Girl, Max Pritchard Architects and Medicine of Cosmetics have been placed on key pedestrian access areas \as their business sight lines are affected by the construction fencing.
