Glenelg Oval Playspace & Margaret Messenger Reserve Fitness equipment

As part of stage 3 and 4 of the Glenelg Oval Masterplan, the City of Holdfast Bay will upgrade the north-eastern corner of Glenelg Oval and Margaret Messenger Reserve.


The north-eastern corner of the oval precinct will include:
  • a new playground
  • enhanced spectator viewing area with DDA-compliant (Disability Discrimination Act) access
  • new public toilets, including a DDA toilet
  • upgraded oval curator facilities


    • The Margaret Messenger Reserve upgrade will include*:
  • adult fitness equipment
  • an upgraded 3x3 basketball court
  • landscaped gardens
  • irrigated grassed area with path access throughout
  • upgraded BBQ with shelter and seating.

    The upgrades will allow for easy access from Margaret Messenger Reserve to the new oval playground and public toilets through the plaza entrance off Rugless Terrace.

    *Final designs and equipment selections will be subject to change based on budget position and availability of equipment from suppliers.
